CYCLING in inspiring nature
Away from the daily hustle and bustle and out into the beautiful, spacious nature! Pleasure cyclists will find everything their heart desires in the Mürzer Oberland Nature Park. Up it's easy via the Schneealm toll road and when you arrive at the alpine plateau, it's time to enjoy the view, cycle from alpine hut to alpine hut and let yourself be spoiled with culinary delights with game specialties, sweet wind mountain creations and organic alpine cheese. A "pleasure mountain bike area" can also be found in Bruck an der Mur. In the immediate vicinity of the city, mountain bike tours await on the Schweizereben, the Hochanger, the Madereck or the Pischkalm. The Wind + Bikepark Pretul in the Fischbacher Alps is a biker Eldorado with adventure value. The tours can be driven as a single route or as a round trip. Summit happiness and cozy stops are included. Further information: Bike region Mürztal

CYCLING from city to city
From the SÜDBAHN Museum in Mürzzuschlag, the Peter Rosegger memorials to Oberkapfenberg Castle, the Brucker Schlossberg to the Gösser beer capital in Leoben, the gateway to the "Styrian Iron Road". River biking along the Mürz (R5) and the Mur (R2) is just the thing for those who want to combine cool water with culture and the city. You can take a deep breath and recharge your batteries in the village inns and cafés in small towns such as Mürzzuschlag, Kindberg and Kapfenberg.
Arrived in Bruck an der Mur, where the Mürztalradweg R5 merges into the Murradweg R2, you can enjoy urban flair. A city tour is always worthwhile - past the magnificent Kornmesserhaus, the Iron Fountain to a café on the main square that invites you to linger. Bruck is one of Austria's "Small Historic Towns".
Tip: If you still have strength and stamina, continue on the R2 to Graz and return comfortably by train. By the way, family and pleasure cyclists especially appreciate the Mürz and Murradweg (R5/R2). The two river cycle paths are mostly slightly sloping and are among the most scenic river cycle paths in the Alps with many culinary and cultural destinations.
