The nearby enchanting, turquoise Lake Faak offers many attractions. Several lidos and public access to the lake tempt you to swim, the small island in the middle of the lake can be reached by boat and the Finkenstein Castle Arena towers high above it. Via the pilgrimage site of Maria Gail and Warmbad Villach, where you can visit the Kärnten Therme (admission included from 16.00 p.m.), you return to your hotel in Villach.

The second stage takes you to Lake Ossiach, where you can visit Ossiach Abbey and the architectural gem Steinhaus in Steindorf, before cycling to the small town of Feldkirchen. The route continues into the Glan Valley, where a detour to Lake Maltschach is worthwhile before you reach St. Veit/Glan, Carinthia's oldest town.

After a morning stroll through St.Veit/Glan, you can take a detour to Carinthia's largest castle, Hochosterwitz (approx. 27 km there and back). The stage takes you via the culturally and historically interesting Zollfeld and the cathedral in Maria Saal to the state capital Klagenfurt. In the afternoon you have time to visit the city center with its landmark, the Lindworm.

You cycle along the turquoise-blue Wörthersee on the Wörthersee Cycle Path to the famous holiday resort of Velden, where you should take an enjoyable break on the beach promenade. In Rosegg you can visit Carinthia's largest animal park before you reach the Drau Cycle Path and cycle to Villach, which you already know, where you will spend 2 nights.
