The nearby, enchanting, turquoise Lake Faak offers many attractions. Several lidos and public access points invite you to swim, the small island in the middle of the lake can be reached by boat, and high above it all stands the Finkenstein Castle Arena. The route then leads back to your hotel in Villach via the pilgrimage site of Maria Gail and Warmbad Villach.

The second stage takes you to Lake Ossiach, where you can visit Ossiach Abbey and the architectural gem, the Steinhaus in Steindorf, before cycling to the small town of Feldkirchen. The route continues into the Glan Valley, where a detour to Lake Maltschach is worthwhile, before you reach St. Veit an der Glan, the oldest town in Carinthia.

After a morning stroll through St.Veit/Glan, you can take a detour to Carinthia's largest castle, Hochosterwitz (approx. 27 km there and back). The stage takes you via the culturally and historically interesting Zollfeld and the cathedral in Maria Saal to the state capital Klagenfurt. In the afternoon you have time to visit the city center with its landmark, the Lindworm.

Cycle along the turquoise waters of Lake Wörthersee on the Wörthersee Cycle Path to the famous resort town of Velden, where you should take a relaxing break on the lakeside promenade. In Rosegg, you can visit Carinthia's largest zoo before reaching the Drau Cycle Path and cycling to Villach, a city you already know.
