On this week-long, cross-border cycling tour along the Inn River, you will follow the "Green Inn," almost always within sight, in leisurely daily stages. Inn Cycle Path leads from the Tyrolean mountains through historic towns and picturesque towns via Bavaria to Upper Austria. The end of the cycle tour is the German border town of Passau: from Tyrol's state capital Innsbruck, the fortified towns of Kufstein and Burghausen, the picturesque baroque towns of Obernberg and Schärding to the thermal resort of Bad Füssing.

Individual arrival to Innsbruck and check-in at the hotel. If you arrive earlier, we recommend a walk through the picturesque old town to the landmark, the famous Golden Roof.

Innsbruck - Kufstein, approx. 50 km + train journey

Shortly after the start of your cycle tour you will reach Hall in Tirol. The historic city, which is well worth seeing, was the center of coin production in the Middle Ages. In nearby Wattens you can visit the famous Swarovski Crystal Worlds. We continue to Brixlegg via the formerly rich town of Schwaz, where silver was once mined. There you board the train and take the train to Kufstein, which is overlooked by a mighty fortress.

Kufstein - Wasserburg, approx. 65 km

Following the Inn Cycle Path, you will soon cross the German border and reach the Bavarian Alpine foothills. The Inn River widens, and you cycle along the dike to Rosenheim. The route continues through small villages, partly on dike paths, partly through riparian forests, and finally to the day's destination, Wasserburg. This idyllic medieval town is uniquely situated in a bend of the river, almost completely encircled by the Inn.

Wasserburg - Mühldorf, approx. 50 km

Today you'll cycle through small villages, past castles and palaces, across typical Bavarian farmland to Mühldorf am Inn. The medieval center of this old trading town, with its magnificent townhouses and arcades, invites you to stroll and enjoy a hearty snack in a beer garden.

Mühldorf - Kirchdorf/Inn, approx. 45 km

Today's Inn Cycle Path takes you via Töging to the famous pilgrimage sites of Altötting and Marktl. The route continues past the confluence of the Inn and Salzach rivers to Burghausen, home to the longest castle complex in Europe. At your destination for the day, Kirchdorf am Inn, you can take a trip to nearby Braunau am Inn with its beautifully restored old town.

Kirchdorf - Bad Füssing, approx. 35 km

Today's leg of your Inn River cycling tour takes you through the natural gem of the Lower Inn European Nature Reserve. The floodplain landscape, with its extraordinary diversity of plants, is a breeding ground for numerous water birds. A little way from the river, you'll reach the popular spa town of Bad Füssing. Enjoy the extensive health and wellness offerings of this renowned thermal resort.
