Your cycling holiday starts with a circumnavigation of the Ossiacher See, whose cycle path mostly runs directly on the shore. Landskron castle ruins towers high above the lake. Numerous attractions invite you to visit along the way: the baroque collegiate church in Ossiach, a trout station for lunch, the nature reserve under the peat moor and the famous stone house in Bodensdorf. You can also cover part of the bike route with great pleasure on a ship of the Lininenschifffahrt.

For today's bike excursion you first cycle to the main train station in Villach and take the train to Spittal / Drau (train ticket not included). Take your time to tour the city. Porcia Castle is considered the most important Renaissance building in Austria. Then you cycle downriver on the Drauradweg back to Villach.

This stage takes you to the aquamarine-blue Faaker See. When circumnavigating the Faaker See, you should use the free access to the lake in Finkenstein for a swim and a leisurely rest. Via Warmbad Villach, whose Kärnten Therme invites you to visit with attractive spa facilities, you will reach Villach again

Today is a change of hotel to the famous Wörthersee on the program, which you can reach on the Drau cycle path. On the way, in Rosegg, the most species-rich zoo in Carinthia is worth a visit. Then you cycle to Velden am Wörthersee, which invites you to take a leisurely rest with its beach promenade and cafes, and on to the north bank to Krumpendorf.

Around the Wörthersee - partly along the lake, partly through well-known holiday resorts, you get to know the unmistakable panorama of the lake landscape. Take a break on the Maria Wörth peninsula, visit one of the Wörthersee beach baths or take a trip on a Wörtersee liner.

Today you have enough time to get to know the state capital Klagenfurt am Wörthersee by bike. Visit the old town with the famous landmark, the Lindwurm, or take a trip around the world in the Minimundus adventure park.
