After breakfast you will take our transfer bus (included in the price) to Sillian in East Tyrol. There you have the opportunity to take a bike trip across the Italian border to Toblach in South Tyrol to the source of the Drau.

Accompanied by the panorama of the Dolomites, you cycle downstream along the Drau to the largest city in East Tyrol, Lienz. Take time to take a break in the enchanting city and enjoy the colorful hustle and bustle. Shortly after Nikolsdorf we cross the state border into Carinthia.

Today the Drau cycle path takes you partly along the river bank and partly through smaller villages. Past the herb village of Irschen, the route continues through Berg in the Drautal to Sachsenburg. You will spend the night again at one of the Drauradweg innkeepers and can try out the specialties of Carinthian cuisine, such as Carinthian cheese noodles.

Always cycle downstream along the Drau cycle path to Villach, the city with a southern flair. Stop in Spittal/Drau at the beautiful Renaissance Porcia Castle and take a break halfway through at a nice snack station and fortify yourself with Carinthian delicacies. Experience the lively city of Villach with a cozy drink on the main square.

Today's stage takes you through the scenic Rosental, an insider tip, even for experienced Austria connoisseurs. The proximity to Slovenia can be experienced in many places due to the bilingualism. In the charming gunsmith town of Ferlach, the Carnica Bee Museum invites you to visit. Or you can take a trip to the nearby, spectacular Tscheppa Gorge (approx. 12 km there and back)

Today you cycle through the unspoilt Rosental on the Drau Cycle Path on beautiful causeways to Carinthia's warmest bathing lake, the Klopeiner See. Once at your destination, relax with a swim in the clear water and enjoy your sunset dinner by the lake.

Today you cycle along the large Völkermarkt reservoir first to Ruden. Following a small detour (due to the renovation of the Jauntal Bridge), we cross the Santa Luzia suspension bridge. Visit the extraordinary Liaunig Art Museum in Neuhaus before cycling on to Lavamünd. The stage takes you through the so-called Had'n region (Had'n = buckwheat). For example, try a Had'ntorte during a bike break.
