Today the first big highlight awaits you, Carinthia's second largest lake, the deep blue Millstätter See. Enjoy the atmosphere with a stop in the main town of Millstatt and in one of the lidos. You cycle through the area valley past the two small bathing lakes Afritzer See and Feldsee to Villach. The city with southern flair and the beautiful medieval city center invites you to stroll.

After only a few kilometers you reach the Ossiacher See with numerous attractions, such as the Ossiach Abbey and the nature reserve Bleistätter Moor. It continues to the town of Feldkirchen and into the Glantal, where a short detour and swimming stop at the small Maltschacher See is worthwhile. Finally you cycle along the Glan to St. Veit, where you will spend 2 nights.

Today the discovery of the castles around St. Veit/Glan is on the program. After a morning tour of the medieval town center of St.Veit, you should not miss a visit to the imposing Hochosterwitz Castle, the largest in Carinthia. The nearby Tagebrunn Castle lures with a winery worth seeing and an André Heller exhibition. Ambitious cyclists should also take a trip to the medieval castle town of Friesach, which is well worth seeing.

Today's cycling stage takes you via the culturally and historically interesting Zollfeld and the Maria Saal Cathedral to the provincial capital of Klagenfurt and the famous Wörthersee, where you will check in for 2 nights. Take a stroll through the old town and pay a visit to the Lindwurm, the city's landmark, or go on a journey of discovery around the world in the Minimundus adventure park.

Today you can enjoy a walk around the beautiful Wörthersee. Visit the Maria Wörth peninsula and its beautiful church and stop in the famous seaside resort of Velden. Stroll along the beach promenade with its cafes and the famous Velden Castle or take a boat trip and relax in one of the bathing beaches and lakeside terraces along the lake.

From Klagenfurt it goes via the suburb of Viktring into the Keutschacher Seental. Passing the tranquil bathing lakes of Rauschelesee, Keutschacher See and Hafnersee, you cycle on to the Drau Cycle Path to Latschach/Rosegg, where you can visit Carinthia's largest animal park.

On the Drau cycle path you cycle to St. Niklas and then over a short ascent to the Caribbean-turquoise Faaker See. When going around the Faaker See, you should plan a swim stop and a leisurely rest. Via Warmbad Villach with its attractive Kärnten Therme you can reach the town of Villach, which you already know.

On the beautiful Drau Cycle Path you return upstream to Spittal/Drau, the starting point and destination of your cycle tour. Lake lovers can make a short detour to Millstätter See.
