DESCRIPTION:
Let yourself be enchanted by the beauty of Carinthia on this pleasure bike tour along the Drau and Lake Wörthersee. After cycling, enjoy the atmosphere and comfort of our selected 4* star hotels, which offer wonderful relaxation in the swimming pool or wellness area. You start in Sillian in East Tyrol and cycle comfortably downstream along the 5* star Drau cycle path past impressive mountain backdrops. At Villach you turn off to the sophisticated, turquoise-green Wörthersee and finally reach Europe's warmest bathing lake, the Klopeiner See in southern Carinthia, through the beautiful, natural Rose Valley.

Sillian - Berg im Drautal, approx. 66 km
Today, the beautiful Drau Cycle Path takes you directly along the river, accompanied by the impressive panorama of the Dolomites, to Lienz, East Tyrol's largest charming town. You'll cycle leisurely through picturesque villages to Berg im Drautal.

Berg im Drautal - Spittal / Drau, approx. 40 km
Following the Upper Drau Valley, you drive partly along the river bank, partly a bit off the beaten path through smaller villages. In Spittal/Drau you should take the time for a city tour. The Renaissance castle of Porcia is especially worth a visit.

Spittal / Drau - Villach, approx. 42 km
Today you cycle downstream to Villach, the city with a southern flair. Halfway through the route, take a break at one of the most beautiful snack stations with its own fruit press on the Drau cycle path. When you arrive in Villach, the best way to experience the lively city is with an aperitif on the main square.

Villach - Velden - Klagenfurt am Wörthersee, approx. 40 km
Today the largest and most famous bathing lake in Carinthia is on the program. At Rosegg you leave the Drau Cycle Path and cycle to Lake Wörthersee. Take a break in the popular seaside resort of Velden, stroll along the beach promenade between the casino and the castle and enjoy a drink. The Wörthersee cycle path continues to Klagenfurt, the capital of Carinthia, where we recommend a stroll through the old town.

Klagenfurt - Ferlach - Klopeiner See, approx. 45 km
You return to the Drau Cycle Path via the pilgrimage site of Maria Rain. Enjoy the impressive landscape on your journey through the beautiful, natural Rosental. At the end of your cycle tour, the Klopeiner See, which is considered the warmest bathing lake in Europe, awaits you.
