From Krimml, cycle through the Salzach Valley alongside the majestic mountain scenery of the Hohe Tauern National Park to Bramberg. The National Park Worlds in the main town of Mittersill are well worth a visit. At your destination, the Zell am See/Kaprun European Sports Region awaits, offering picturesque views of Lake Zell and the Kitzsteinhorn glacier.

Today's tour takes you on the Tauern cycle path through the idyllic village of Maria Alm with the famous pilgrimage church via Saalfelden towards Lofer. The natural attractions Seisenbergklamm, one of the most beautiful gorges in Austria, and the Lamprechtshöhle are worthwhile detours.

After leaving the upper Salzach Valley, you cycle along the Saalach River, crossing the "green border" into the Bavarian town of Bad Reichenhall. The route then continues to Salzburg, the city of Mozart, with its numerous sights. Salzburg is most famous for the virtuoso composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, whose birthplace is located in Getreidegasse.

Cycling along the Salzach riverbank path, you first reach Oberndorf, famous for its "Silent Night" chapel. The route continues through extensive riparian forests along the Salzach River, passing St. Radegund and on to the Bavarian town of Burghausen, where you should visit the world's longest castle (1.051m). Nearby lies a mysterious moorland landscape, perfect for a therapeutic bathing experience.

Cycle through the Weilharts Forest to the Inn-Salzach viewpoint and on to Braunau am Inn. Following the banks of the Inn River, you'll reach the Lower Inn European Nature Reserve, a bird and nature sanctuary. Today's bike tour then takes you to the renowned Bavarian spa town of Bad Füssing. Take advantage of the many amenities and relax in one of the spacious thermal baths (some open until 22.00 pm).

Passing the imposing Reichersberg Abbey, you will soon reach the Upper Austrian baroque town of Schärding, where you should take a break in its beautiful main square. Continue cycling along the Inn River to the three-river city of Passau. Passau's old town boasts many sights; a three-river boat tour is highly recommended.
