Experience Carinthia's most beautiful bathing lakes in 5 days of cycling! Our Highlights cycling tour along the popular Carinthian Lake Loop is the perfect combination of nature, culture, and cycling fun, offering a unique experience for all leisurely cyclists. In addition to the impressive interplay of mountains and lakes, this tour also includes cultural highlights such as Porcia Castle, Ossiach Abbey, and Klagenfurt's Old Town. The route runs past picturesque lakes such as Lake Millstatt, Lake Ossiach, Lake Faak, and Lake Wörthersee, as well as along the idyllic Drava Cycle Path, offering numerous opportunities for swimming and relaxing breaks.

Spittal - Lake Millstatt - Lake Feldsee - Lake Afritz - Lake Ossiach, approx. 55 km

From Spittal, you'll cross the Lieser Gorge before cycling along the beautiful Lake Millstatt. Here, we recommend taking your first break in the picturesque town of Millstatt and enjoying a coffee at the popular "Lake Pyramid." You'll then pass the two small bathing lakes, Feldsee and Afritzer See, which are perfect for a quick refreshment or a relaxing break before reaching Lake Ossiach.

Ossiacher See - Wörthersee - Krumpendorf/Klagenfurt, approx. 45 km

At Lake Ossiach, for example, Ossiach Abbey, the Domenig Stone House, and the Bleistätter Moor nature reserve are all worth seeing. Sporty cyclists can also complete a full circuit (about 20 km more). The route continues to the fashionable Wörthersee, where you can stroll through the famous town of Velden. Following the northern shore, you reach today's destination in Krumpendorf or Klagenfurt am Wörthersee.

Krumpendorf/Klagenfurt - South Bank - Villach, approx. 45 km

You can start this day with a tour of the state capital Klagenfurt and its landmark, the Lindwurm (Lindworm). Cycle along the southern shore of Lake Wörthersee via Maria Wörth back to the charming town of Velden. Continue along the beautiful Drau Cycle Path to Villach, with its Mediterranean-inspired city center.

Villach - Drobollach am Faaker See - Spittal/, approx. 57 km

Today, you'll make a detour to Drobollach am Faaker See, where you can enjoy the vibrant turquoise-green swimming lake. Alternatively, you can also cycle around Lake Faaker See (approximately 10 km more). You'll cycle along the banks of the Drau River on the Drau Cycle Path back to your departure point in Spittal/Drau.
