NEW: Carinthia 2026 will be even more accessible by train:

The Koralmbahn, a milestone for rail travel in southern Austria

From December 14, 2025, the new Koralmbahn will make travel in southern Austria even more comfortable and faster. The 33 km long Koralm Tunnel will reduce the travel time between Graz and Klagenfurt to just 42 minutes, and from Vienna to Klagenfurt by an hour, to just 3 hours 10 minutes – perfect for reaching Carinthia's beautiful cycling regions more quickly. Whether you're cycling on the well-developed cycle paths along the Carinthian lakes, exploring the idyllic Drau Cycle Path, or cycling from Villach towards the sea on the Alpe-Adria Cycle Path – with the Koralmbahn, you'll reach your destination relaxed and in record time.

For cyclists, this means more time to enjoy the scenic cycle paths! Whether you're traveling from Graz, Vienna, or Salzburg, the new, faster connections will get you to your destination quickly. And best of all, the modern trains offer more space for your bike, so you can arrive relaxed and start your cycling adventure right away.

To make your journey even more convenient, we recommend renting a bike from Kärnten Radreisen, which will be waiting for you at your hotel. This way, you can start your cycling adventure immediately upon arrival without having to worry about transporting your own bike.
